Travel Permit:

Travel Permit is issued to a Bangladeshi national who for some reasons is not in possession of his/her Bangladeshi Passport and wants to return to Bangladesh. 

How to Apply for Travel Permit:

Submit the filled-in application form enclosed with required documents to the Consular Section of the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh in Geneva in person. To find the form, please click here. 

Please book an appointment with the Permanent Mission by sending an email at 'consular.geneva@mofa.gov.bd' for submission of the application and interview.

Required Documents:

1. Three (03) copies of recent photographs (passport size);

2. Photocopy of the existing Machine Readable Passport (MRP);

3. Birth Registration Certificate (with 17 digits number) issued in Bangladesh/ National ID  Card of Bangladesh (with 13 digits number);

4. Proof of Payment;

5. Police Report (in case of lost passport).

NOTE: Applicant's contact information, particularly, a reachable mobile number must be mentioned in the application.

Processing Time:

At least five (05) working days are required to process the issuance of a TP. However, it may take longer time if reference has to be made to Bangladesh for clearance.

Collection of the TP:

On receiving call from the Permanent Mission, the applicant must collect the TP personally.

CHF 55.00 only
